The CSA Centre is inviting PhD researchers to join us for a friendly and participative one-day workshop in London on Tuesday 21st JuneThis workshop brings together a multi-disciplinary group of students undertaking doctoral research into issues relating to the scale, nature and response to child sexual abuse. Facilitated by members of the CSA Centre research team, Professor Liz Kelly and hosted at London Metropolitan University.

Structure of the day:

The day will consist of seminar type presentations, offering students the opportunity to present their work to a small group of fellow doctoral students with time for discussion and reflection in a friendly and participative setting.

When: Tuesday 21st June, 10:00am – 16:30pm

Where: London Metropolitan University

The workshop will:

  • Offer an opportunity to present aspects of research to a knowledgeable, multi-disciplinary audience of fellow doctoral students
  • Provide mutual support and constructive challenge and the chance to reflect on studies into different aspects of sexual abuse including: prevention, intervention, the criminal and family justice processes, disruption, and support for victims and survivors of child sexual abuse  
  • Enable students to become part of a wider community of researchers and discuss ways to share findings with wider audiences.
