Right now, the CSA Centre conservatively estimates that one in ten children will experience some form of child sexual abuse before age of 16. Working within the Policy and Communications Team, you will be uniquely placed to tackle child sexual abuse alongside the work of our colleagues across practice, research and training.
We are looking for a motivated person with strong skills and experience in policy, communications, and with the ability to manage an extensive and varied workload to deliver multiple objectives. We are looking for applicants to two roles with different levels of experience.
You will be raising awareness of our ambitious programme of work to improve the knowledge, skills and confidence of professionals (social workers, teachers, social workers, nurses etc.) in identifying and responding to child sexual abuse. We have already made great progress, but there is much more to be done.

Policy and Communications Officer
This role will be responsible for developing and delivering policy influencing activities and effective communication and promotion across our programme of work through improved identification and better response.
Policy and Communications Assistant
This role involves supporting the Policy and Communications Team in the development and delivery of policy influencing activities and effective communication and promotion across our programme of work to reduce the impact of child sexual abuse through improved prevention and better response.
All roles are home based with regular travel required, usually to London.
Although this is advertised as a full-time position, we are open to applicants who wish to work part time, or as a job share, or as a secondment.
This role is currently funded until 31 March 2023, in line with the grant funding arrangements for the CSA Centre. This will be reviewed in late 2022, with potential for extension as future funding for the CSA Centre from 2023/24 onwards is clarified.
