Sarah is the Director of Children’s Services for Barnardo’s Cymru and the South West of England. She has an extensive background in adults and children’s social care, early intervention services for families and young people, community regeneration, and offender rehabilitation and held multiple senior posts across multiple local authorities in England and Wales. As well as advisory positions in various Welsh Government reference groups.

Sarah is currently the Chair of the Early Intervention and Prevention sub-group as part of the Transforming Children’s Social Care agenda in Wales. She is also Barnardo’s lead Children’s Services Director for tackling Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation, and the Director responsible for the National Counter Trafficking Centre.
