This paper focuses on child sexual abuse within institutions or organisations, and is an update of the original 2018 version.

This paper focuses on children and young people who display harmful sexual behaviour, and is an update of the previous 2018 version.

Our 2021/22 report brings together data from children’s social care, policing, criminal justice and health, to build a picture of how agencies identify and respond to child sexual abuse and provide a unique insight into the changing trends in practice.

In 2021, the CSA Centre was commissioned by the London Safeguarding Children Partnership (LSCP) to design and deliver a holistic package of support to improve the identification and response to child sexual abuse in three London boroughs: Barking & Dagenham, Ealing, and Hackney. This report details the results and feedback from participants.

In 2022, the CSA Centre piloted two training courses for police officers and staff to supplement existing training provision in police forces and address knowledge gaps around identifying and responding to child sexual abuse. This report details the results of the pilot and participant feedback.

This guide aims to help anyone working in education provision in England and Wales to communicate with and support children in situations where sexual abuse is suspected or identified.

This resource is designed to guide professionals' thinking in supporting children of any age, including those with special education needs, following incidents of harmful sexual behaviour. It is for all professionals in schools or other places of learning for children, including pupil referral units and special schools; it is not just for Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs). Designed to be used along side the CSA Centre's school safety plan template.

The guide aims is designed to help professionals provide a supportive response to parents when concerns about the sexual abuse of their child have been raised, or when such abuse has been identified. This includes situations where the child may have been sexually abused by an adult or adults, or experienced another child’s harmful sexual behaviour; the abuse or harmful behaviour may have taken place inside or outside their family environment.
