Catherine has a background in frontline practice supporting survivors of sexual and domestic violence, including child sexual abuse. This early experience gave her a strong foundation in understanding trauma, safeguarding and the criminal justice process, which continues to inform her work today.

She has worked extensively in policy and strategy roles in areas such as violence against women and girls, safeguarding adults and community safety. Her work has involved collaborating and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders on a local, regional and national level. Catherine also holds a master’s degree in Social Policy and Social Problems with research focused on risk and vulnerability in child sexual exploitation.

Catherine brings a combination of frontline insight, policy knowledge and partnership experience to the CSA Centre. Her focus is on influencing policy and practice, strengthening collaboration across systems and supporting professionals and the wider community to recognise and respond effectively to child sexual abuse
