Matt joined the CSA Centre in Autumn 2025 and leads the new Communications & Policy Directorate. He brings extensive experience of working across communications, public affairs, policy, civic impact and stakeholder engagement, in the public, education, and charitable sectors.

Passionate about doing what’s right for children and young people, while making a difference to their lives, Matt has spent the majority of his professional career working with or for these audiences. Experiences have included: working in junior schools overseas; lecturing and publishing on child protection in sport; reporting on family justice matters; supporting policy and comms efforts at Cafcass and care leaver charity, Become; and, most recently, leading communications and civic impact functions at Buckinghamshire New University.
