Ruby joined the CSA Centre in 2025 and works as part of our Policy and Communications team, assisting in the production and design of digital content and supporting our response to emerging trends in policy and practice.

Ruby has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Bristol. She has an interest in social policy, and her dissertation focused on whole-school approaches to exclusion within education, looking at how organisational attitudes and practices are shaped by local and national policies. Ruby has worked in communications roles in higher education institutions and the charity sector. She has worked as a freelance writer and illustrator for mental health charities such as Mind UK and Beder.
