Support for adult victims and survivors of child sexual abuse: literature review
We are seeking someone to help us write a new literature review on the support needs of adults who were sexually abused in childhood.
Deadline for proposals: Friday 26th September 2025
Are you a skilled researcher with a strong knowledge of child sexual abuse? Do you have experience of writing in a succinct, accessible format for a range of audiences?
We’re seeking an individual or team to undertake a literature review that collates current knowledge on support needs and effectiveness of interventions for adult victims and survivors of child sexual abuse. This review will act as a useful resource to inform commissioning, service improvement, and future research priorities.
While there is a growing body of research on this kind of support, the evidence is fragmented. This literature review will therefore help identify and describe the support needs of adult victims and survivors, assess available evidence on the effectiveness of support interventions, explore literature in relation to protected characteristics and other factors, and highlight evidence gaps and propose areas for future research.
Successful applicants will have until April 2026 to produce the literature review. Further information, including our supplier response form in appendix A, can be found in the Invitation to Tender document below.
