Strengthening multi-agency leadership in responding to intra-familial child sexual abuse

A series of workshops for safeguarding partners to reflect, plan and lead implementation of the six local recommendations from the National review into child sexual abuse within the family environment.

Implement the National review into child sexual abuse within the family environment’s recommendations in your area.

Join us for our six-part online workshop series looking at each of the local recommendations in the National review into child sexual abuse within family settings.

In 2024, the Child Safeguarding Practice Review Panel published their National review into child sexual abuse within the family environment, conducted by the CSA Centre. It studied the experiences of 193 individual children and uncovered significant and long‑standing systemic issues in the identification of and response to child sexual abuse in family settings.

The final report, “I wanted them all to notice”: Protecting children and responding to child sexual abuse within the family environment, made a number of recommendations for government and decision makers, including six recommendations which local safeguarding partnerships can implement without waiting for changes at a national level.

To help safeguarding partners in social work, policing, health and more understand what these recommendations are and how to address them, we’ve produced this new series of free workshops. They look at each of the six recommendations and explore what recourses and guidance is available to improve responses to children, young people and families today.
