Abigail Gill

Abi Gill is Associate Head of Policy and Public Affairs at the NSPCC and leads their influencing work across child protection and safeguarding. Having worked in policy for 15 years, Abi leads work focused on improving outcomes for the most vulnerable children, working with government, Parliament and sector partners to shape evidence-informed policy and legislation. Her interests include children’s social care reform, safeguarding in the early years, child neglect, early intervention, and strengthening multi-agency systems to better prevent abuse.
Abi has worked at NSPCC for the past 6 years, prior to which she led the policy and research team at Centrepoint, the youth homelessness charity. She began her career working in a local authority children’s social care team.
