Alison is an experienced business leader with over 25 years’ experience in business development, project management and systems administration across a range of sectors including education, hospitality, media, advertising and agency services.

She joined the Association of Independent LSCB Chairs (AILC) in 2014 as a Business Adviser on a consultancy basis, supporting a national membership body for Independent Chairs of Local Safeguarding Children Boards. Following the reforms introduced through the Children and Social Work Act 2017, which replaced LSCBs with multi-agency safeguarding partnerships led jointly by local authorities, health and police, the organisation evolved into The Association of Safeguarding Partners (TASP), becoming a registered charity.

Alison became a permanent member of staff in 2016 and has played a central role in shaping and delivering this transition, supporting the organisation’s growth and ensuring it remained responsive to the changing safeguarding landscape.

As Director of TASP, she leads the strategic and operational development of the organisation, working closely with safeguarding partners across the UK to support effective multi-agency leadership and practice.

In her role as an Advisor to the Centre of Expertise on Child Sexual Abuse, Alison brings a strong understanding of the national safeguarding system, alongside extensive experience in partnership working, organisational development and supporting leaders to respond to complex safeguarding challenges, including convening and working with safeguarding partners, government bodies and sector organisations across the UK.
