Chris Miller

For 32 years Chris worked as a police officer specialising in serious crime investigation, which included child protection.
Since 2011 he has held a number of roles relating to the safeguarding of children . He has been a Safeguarding Children’s Partnership Scrutineer since 2019 and has authored a number of safeguarding reviews for both adults and children.
He also works for the NHS as the independent chair of two large child death overview panels, which work in cooperation with a wide range of partners to understand and reduce child mortality.
He is a trustee of the Association of Safeguarding Partners, which he helped to establish in 2019 , which is now England’s leading child safeguarding partnership organisation.
He is also a member of the London Adolescent Safeguarding Oversight Board and recently authored on their behalf a revised chapter on disruption which is incorporated into the London Safeguarding Adolescent Toolkit.
